The Gomeroi Dhinawans basketball team is looking for sponsors to support their participation in an upcoming basketball tournament, as well as their 2025 season.
They will compete in the First Nations Championships in late December, sending two Open Men's teams.
This will be a historic moment, as they will be "the first Aboriginal team from NSW to be represented" and also "the first Kamilaroi team" to take part in the championships.
Sponsorship will help cover the costs of their participation and contribute to the growth of Aboriginal youth and men's basketball in the community, promoting an active and healthy lifestyle.
"By supporting us, you'll be contributing to the growth of local youth and men's Aboriginal basketball and promoting a healthy, active lifestyle," the team said in a joint statement.
In exchange for sponsorship, businesses will receive exposure through various channels.
This includes "social media shoutouts and game day shoutouts," as well as having "your logo on all player and supporter gear".
Sponsors will also see their branding on team apparel and during cultural events.
"Your logo will be displayed when GD is doing cultural events and practices," they said.
Those interested in sponsoring the team and supporting their journey to the championships can reach out to the Gomeroi Dhinawans page or contact the team directly on 0478 800 941.
