Bad Apples Music and the Dungala Kaiela Foundation, along with major players in the Australian live music industry, are unveiling 'Now & Forever,' a special concert event set for October 6 at Shepparton Showgrounds in the Yorta Yorta Woka region.
Proud Yorta Yorta man and rapper, BRIGGS, the founder of Bad Apples Music, established the label with a deep understanding of his roots and the importance of representing his community through his art.

'Now & Forever' is a collaborative effort driven by Indigenous artists and leaders, serving as both a celebration and an invitation to unite with the community in support of the 2023 Referendum.
This event will feature an impressive lineup of Australian talent committed to advocating for a positive outcome in the referendum.
Notable performers include A.B. Original, Baker Boy, Barkaa, Emma Donovan, Hilltop Hoods, Jimmy Barnes, Mo'Ju, and Paul Kelly will be featured, with the event co-hosted by Sam Pang.
"I asked Paull Kelly if he was interested in doing a show in Shepparton and he said yes, so T thought 'I wonder if the (Hilltop) Hoods might come, they said yep," said Briggs.
"That's when I knew we had something on our hands.
"It was about me asking my mates if they would stand in solidarity with Blackfullas."
The idea for Now & Forever 2023 was born in Shepparton, Yorta Yorta Woka and has gathered widespread support and enthusiasm across First Nations leaders, the live music industry, the local community and broader region.
"I had to bring this home because this is where I grew up," Briggs said.
The bill is curated in a way that can foster a large and diverse audience, coming together for a common goal.
"We have a once in a generation opportunity to write our future together, and the artists on the bill have signed up for that. This is about celebration, inclusivity, solidarity, positivity and listening, as much as it is about a voice.
"In that spirit, everyone is welcome to the show - even the undecided voters. And if you don't know, just come to the show."
Tickets are available online.
"On behalf of our live music and entertainment industry, we're proud to stand alongside our artists who are stepping up and speaking out in support of Yes and the opportunity for Australians to come together to recognise our First Nations people, to listen, and walk together to create a better future," said Evelyn Richardson, Live Performance Australia CEO.
