Gomeroi musician Thelma Plum this week released 'We Don't Talk About It,' her latest single as revealed on Zane Lowe's Apple Music 1 show.
It marks her first release since the well-received 2022 EP, 'Meanjin.' featuring hit single 'Brown Snake' and 'Backseat of My Mind'.
"My new song 'We Don't Talk About It' is finally out!" Plum said.
"This song is deeply personal and I've been itching to share it with you all – I'm so happy that release day is here at last."
Continuing to make stark critiques on the world around her surrounding love, racism, and abusive relationships, Thelma Plum delivers the song in her usual fashion - featuring a melodic chorus and poignant lyrics.
The new single comes with an official music video directed by Sarah Dattani Tucker, shot around East-London.
In 2023, Thelma Plum clinched the Album of the Year title at the National Indigenous Music Awards for the aforementioned EP.
Notably, her EP track 'Backseat of My Mind' earned a spot in the APRA Song of the Year shortlist at the 2023 APRA Awards.
Adding to her accolades, Thelma secured the Best Pop Act honour at the National Live Music Awards.
Thelma Plum is set for a packed live schedule in the coming weeks.
After supporting Coldplay at Perth's Optus Stadium on November 18th and 19th, she'll take the stage at Great Southern Nights on November 24th and then The Forth Pub 151 Festival in Tasmania awaits her on December 9th, serving as a year-end performance.
Finally, she will kick off the new year with a show in Tamworth on January 23rd.
