Shining a spotlight on several First Nations creatives, the South Everleigh Street Party is back for another year of experiences and entertainment.
Commencing on Thursday, the two-day program embraces Indigenous culture whilst celebrating culture, music, art, food and community.
Taking place in Redfern's Village Square, the festival's Weaving and Cultural Conversation workshop with Nadeena Dixon will offer attendees to connect with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts and cultures.
For an activity that gets the whole family involved, South Everleigh's Rooftop Garden will be the location for several ticketed 'Potting Shed' sessions, hosted by Clarence Slockee, Jiwah and Wildflower Gardens for Good.
Included is a tour of the rooftop garden followed by a workshop on native plants and a hands-on potting class, with children able to take a seedling pot with them to nurture and grow at home.

For sporting enthusiasts, Indigenous Sydney Swans AFLW player, Aliesha Newman, will host a meet and greet session on both Thursday 5 October and Friday 6 October.
"With a diverse lineup of experiences, from Sydney's top chefs and musicians to engaging kids' programs, we're excited to showcase the spirit of South Eveleigh," South Eveleigh portfolio manager Jamie Toko said.
"Street Party is a testament to our commitment to fostering connections, creativity, and unforgettable moments within our community."
Locomotive Street will also come alive with giant inflatable tentacles that will extend from the buildings onto the street. Chalk artistry by local First Nations artists Mad Wings will also transform the street into an urban canvas of artistic expression.
To get everyone into the festival spirit, First Nations Freelance Performer and Choreographer, Rayma Johnson, will host a Dance Workshop on October 5, followed by a tribal warrior kids boxing session with community leader and respected spokesperson for Aboriginal Australians, Shane Phillips, on October 6.

With the Street Party taking place throughout Sydney's South Eveleigh in Locomotive Street, The Eveleigh and Village Square over two days, attendees will have the opportunity to wander through events and explore the range of experiences spanning across music, food, beverage, art, design, dance, and play.
South Everleigh Street Party will be held from 2pm-11pm on Thursday 5 and Friday 6 October. For more information visit, www. southeverleigh.com. Entry is free.
