NT Police are searching for a 10-year-old Indigenous boy missing in Katherine.

The boy, named Cedric, was last seen on the afternoon of June 2 in Katherine South, NT Police said.

Cedric is known to frequent Katherine's town centre and the surrounding area, police say.

He was last seen wearing a blue jersey with white stripes on the side, a maroon-coloured t-shirt and black Essendon shorts which have red and grey stripes down the sides.

Both police and family hold concerns for his welfare.
