Public assistance sought to find missing Indigenous woman in Redfern

NSW Police are appealing for public assistance to locate an Indigenous woman missing from Sydney's south.

Leslie Weldon, 61, was last seen on Louis Street, Redfern, around 10pm on Sunday, 26 January.

When Ms Weldon could not be found or contacted, officers from South Sydney Police Area Command were notified on Monday 27 January and commenced inquiries.

There are concerns for Ms Weldon's welfare as she lives with dementia and has several health conditions.

She is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, about 150cm tall, of thin build, with grey hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing a black jacket, green pants, and carrying a grey leather bag.

Ms Weldon is known to frequent the Riverstone and Redfern areas.
