UMI Arts' 17th edition of the Big Talk One Fire festival, its largest to date, will feature a free, family-friendly program of activities and music.
The event will be headlined by Royston Noell, the 2023 Australian Idol winner.
Big Talk One Fire will take place at Munro Martin Parklands from 3 pm to 9 pm on Saturday, 7 September 2024.
Supported by the Cairns Regional Council and local sponsors, UMI Arts' Big Talk One Fire will feature an art and craft market, children's activities, food stalls, a symposium, workshops, and storytelling.

The event will also offer a diverse stage program, culminating in a headline performance to be announced soon.
Cape York Kokoberrin native and UMI Arts' Artistic Director, Lisa Michl Ko-manggén OAM, said Big Talk One Fire is a cherished event for the organisation.
"For the past 17 years, Big Talk has brought people together for a joyful afternoon in beautiful surroundings," she said.
"UMI Arts is always immensely proud to present this all-inclusive event that promotes the best of North Queensland Indigenous culture to a large and varied audience within the gorgeous inner-city venue, Munro Martin Parklands.
"Always a highlight of Big Talk One Fire is our concert featuring local Indigenous bands, traditional Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural dance and pop-up visual art and markets."
The entertainment lineup for Big Talk One Fire includes the Gimuy Yidinji Dancers from Gimuy, KapayKuyan Aboriginal Dance Group from Lockhart River, the Boigu Island Dance Group from Boigu Island, Yimbala Dancers from Hope Vale and Wujul Wujul, Barefoot Ballerinas from Hope Vale and Wujul Wujul, and Constellation of Our Forefathers - Babaya Zugubal from Thursday Island.
Performances will also feature Broden Tyrrell from Kalkadoon/Waanyi in Townsville and 2023 Australian Idol winner Royston Noell from Mapoon.
