Police are appealing for public assistance to locate an Indigenous teenage girl missing from Sydney's northwest.

Paula Brown, 17, was last seen in Rouse Hill about 4.30pm on Tuesday 10 February.

When she could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Hawkesbury Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Police and family are concerned for her welfare due to her suffering a medical condition which requires regular medication.

Paula is described as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander appearance, about 170cm tall, thin build with light brown, curly hair.

She was last seen wearing black tights, a pink hoody black jacket and white/grey shoes.

Paula is known to frequent the Waterloo, Surry Hills, Glebe and Blacktown areas, and also has links to the Tamworth and Bathurst areas.
