Renowned Gumbaynggirr and Yamatji artist Emma Donovan is set to perform at the Potato Shed in Geelong on Saturday, 13 April at 8 pm.

Following her tour with American country star Charley Crockett, her latest show, 'Songs, Stories and Soul from Family and Country', will feature tracks from her upcoming album, 'Til My Song is Done'.

Donovan leads initiatives to highlight traditional languages in the music industry, often performing in traditional Gumbaynggirr and Noongar languages.

Her upcoming concert aims to provide a richer insight into Country and community through her new music.

"I sing for everyone and everything, mostly my kids, my family, my community, my people & my connections. My songs are never done," she said, via Instagram.

"I have a story to continue and finish."

Donovan's eagerly awaited solo album, set for release on 19 April, marks a return to her country roots and the essence of her artistic beginnings.

It reflects her musical evolution from childhood performances of country classics, through family-led church songs at community funerals, to her later experiences in funk, soul, and R&B.

With more than 20 years on the road, Ms Donovan has taken her impactful stories and music worldwide, opening for artists like Paul Kelly, The Teskey Brothers, Paul Grabowsky, and the late Uncle Archie Roach AC and Aunty Ruby Hunter.

Ticketing information for Songs, Stories and Soul from Family and Country is available via The Potato Shed website.
