In a nail-biter of a match, the Newcastle Yowies came out on top in the Koori Knockout women's division on Monday.
The game kept fans on the edge of their seats as it extended into double golden point, where the next goal wins.
The final score stood at 13-12, with the Yowies securing a hard-fought win against the Redfern All Blacks.
"It was intense two halves of golden point but we got there, I'm so proud of the girls," Yowies team member Patrice Chambers said.
"To see the talent that both teams have is just.. I'm lost for words."
The Yowies had a chance to put the game away in the first half of golden point with a field goal but play continued as it bounced off the left post.
"I was set up, I thought we were gonna catch it and score but nope - we had to play another half," Chambers said.

Chambers and Lyrech Mara had flown in for the Knockout after coming up short in last week's Queensland Murri Carnival with the Brisbane Natives.
The Natives lost in another close finish which snapped what would have been their fourth QMC title in a row.
"The feeling after QMC was still a positive one," Chambers said.
"I'm so proud of our girls.. not many teams can say they haven't lost a game in four years.
"Just falling short in the grand final was tough but that's footy, you can't win them all."

"Both of the grand final games were so close it could have went either way," Chambers said.
"I'm just happy to be apart of it all, win, lose or draw.
"It's those kind of games that you dream to play in because they push you to your limits and definitely build resilience."
