Aboriginal Veterans
Artwork recognising the contributions of South Australian Aboriginal Veterans has been installed as part of a four-way intersection upgrade in the south Adelaide suburb of Panorama.
First Nations veterans whose graves remain unmarked or are in need of repair will continue to be appropriately maintained and commemorated in South Australia.
The Australian War Memorial has recognised Noongar man Private Walter Joseph Parker as the earliest identified Aboriginal soldier to die while in service with Australian armed forces.
