Tyson Stengle has inked a monster contract extension to remain at the Cats until at least the end of 2029.
His commitment to Kardinia Park reportedly entails knocking back a six-year deal with $50,000 more a season from rival club St Kilda after recent rumours of other interested parties circling.
According to Seven's Mitch Cleary, Stengle's new five-year extension at Geelong is worth around $700,000 a season.
The premiership forward first arrived at the club on a lifeline in 2022 on the back of a strong SANFL campaign after being shown the door by Richmond and Adelaide at AFL level.
Stengle kicked 53 goals in his first year at the Cats, including four in their 81-point demolition of Sydney in that year's grand final.
In 2024, the 25-year-old is going at more than two goals a game in another consistent campaign across his 15 games for the year.
Ahead of the Cats confirming his signature on Sunday, Stengle slotted a game-high three majors in a 45-point win over Essendon on Saturday night.
Stengle told Cats media he "wanted to give back to the club" which has "embraced me since I first walked through the door".
"I'm just excited for the second half of the season...obviously being a senior player now I'm just excited to help the young boys coming through and be a leader on the field and off the field as well," Stengle said.
Cats general manager of football Andrew Mackie said the club is "thrilled" to have secured the small forward.
"He is much loved by his teammates and the broader Club, and we love what he contributes to our football program," Mackie said.
"At only 25 we are excited to see what Tyson can achieve in the future and we know our members and fans will continue to enjoy watching him represent the Geelong Football Club."
