Zac Williams has been delisted by Carlton following the end to their 2026 season, with the club confirming seven list changes on Wednesday.

Williams, 31, made 70 appearances for the Blues since arriving from GWS ahead of the 2021 season.

His time at IKON Park was marred by injuries, but he had reinvented his game under previous Blues coach Michael Voss in 2025 before limited opportunity this year.

The long-time defender impressed as a forward with a role shake-up last season, playing an equal-high as a Blue of 19 games, and made nine appearances to start their most recent campaign - but just one after Josh Fraser took the reins as head coach following Voss' departure.

The Wiradjuri man played much of the back end of the season in the VFL.

Williams has been delisted alongside Jordan Boyd, Lachie Fogarty, Lewis Young, Flynn Young, Harry Charleson and Elijah Hollands.

Hollands had been on personal leave for the bulk of the season.

"This time of year it can be difficult to farewell good people," Blues general manager of football Chris Davies said.

"Zac, Lachie, Lewis and Jordan have all played their role for the senior side over the last five or six years, while Elijah, Flynn and Harry each contributed to our Club in more recent seasons.

"We wish each player all the very best moving forward and thank them all for their time in the Navy Blue."

Williams moved to Carlton after 113 games at GWS between 2013 and 2020.

He missed the entire 2023 season, where the Blues pushed to a preliminary final, with an ACL injury.

Most recently, Williams suffered a fractured larynx in a VFL game, interrupting his end to the year.

In 2025 he ran out for the Indigenous All Stars.

Carlton bowed out of finals with their loss to Geelong last Friday.
