Jamarra Ugle-Hagan has made a huge statement in his first game since copping racist abuse.
The 20-year-old has responded with five majors against Brisbane - recreating Nicky Winmar's famous stance against vilification at Victoria Park in 1993 after booting his first against the Lions early.
In a moving tribute Ugle-Hagan similarly lifted his jumper and pointed to his skin after an emotional week.
On Wednesday, Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge called the young star "unbelievably admirable" after getting straight back into footy following a taxing weekend.
"Marra is a strong Indigenous man, and he'll absolutely take it in his stride because he'll feel that he needs to represent and show the way," Beveridge said.
"There was never any indication that he was going to let something like this get on top of him - which is unbelievably admirable. He's ready to go."
He certainly was ready.
Ugle-Hagan's second came as the Dogs began swinging the game away from the Lions prior to half time and the Bulldogs ultimately ran out winners by 14 points, the young star being the difference with a stunning 5.0 haul.
The five goals equalled his AFL career best.
