The NAISDA Board has announced the appointment of Tahni Froudist as the organisation's next Chief Executive Officer.
Commencing her role on November 30, Froudist is an experienced arts leader, most recently acting as the deputy chief executive officer and executive producer at Flying Fruit Fly Circus, Chair of Arts on Tour, and through her work with the ARTS8 and as an independent producer.
Froudist's commitment to the performing arts, student experience, and to First Nations people and communities is evident throughout her career and values.
NAISDA chairperson Mayrah Sonter said the Board is excited about the future under Tahni's leadership.
"Following an extensive and rigorous recruitment process, we are confident Tahni brings the experience and vision to build upon NAISDA's strong foundations, lead with confidence and commitment, and ensure community and First Nations creativity remain central in NAISDA's future," Sonter said.
"We are excited and delighted to welcome Tahni and look forward to her guiding and realising NAISDA's future ambitions and strategic direction."

The new CEO brings nearly two decades of experience across the Australian performing arts sector to Darkinjung Country, home of NAISDA's campus.
"I am so delighted to be joining NAISDA, a much-loved organisation with a vital place in Australia's creative and cultural life and an inspiring vision for the future," Tahni said.
"I look forward to building on NAISDA's extraordinary legacy of leadership and working with the Board, team and First Nations communities to champion the next generation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists, technicians and creative professionals."
The appointment marks an important milestone for NAISDA and reflects the successful implementation of its planned executive leadership transition as two of the organisation's long-serving leaders conclude their executive appointments on November 30.
The Board has also extended its appreciation to outgoing chief executive officer Kim Walker AM and COO Debra Schleger for their dedication and significant contributions to NAISDA throughout their tenure.
With 50 years of achievement, NAISDA remains committed to delivering world-class training and bringing First Nations talent, knowledge and creativity to stages, communities and industries across Australia and beyond.
NAISDA is the leading First Nations arts training organisation creating and celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledges and wisdom through excellence and innovation in dance and performing arts education.
