Survey gathers insights of Aboriginal people with experience of injury and disability in lead up to health forum

Aboriginal people in New South Wales with experiences of injury / disability and use of the state's Health Rehabilitation Services are being encouraged to share their insights in a new survey in the lead up to the 10th Rural Innovations Changing Health Care Forum.

The Forum, dedicated to building healthier communities, is set to take place on Tuesday, 13 June.

The virtual forum will be a one-day event, bringing together rural health service providers, consumers and other sectors to share their experiences and showcase rural models of care with potential for broader implementation.

With the theme being "A Healthy Harvest: Reaping What We Sow", attendees can expect to learn about the positive health outcomes that can be achieved through innovation in the rural health sector.

Discover how planting the seeds of innovation and nurturing the service, community,and workforce can result in a bountiful harvest of improved health outcomes for rural communities.

The survey regarding Aboriginal experiences of injury / disability and use of NSW Health Rehabilitation Services is open to participants who fall into any of the following categories:

  • Aboriginal consumer / community member living in NSW
  • Aboriginal Carer member living in NSW
  • Aboriginal Service Provider
  • You have had experience working with Aboriginal patients
  • Any Service provider in the above clinical areas mentioned
