NAISDA Dance College, Australia's leading training centre for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander performing arts, is calling on young Indigenous people with a passion for dance to apply.
Those aged 16 to 26 have until early September to submit their applications online.
Auditioning for NAISDA could be a pivotal opportunity for aspiring dancers.
The college has been instrumental in launching the careers of many successful Indigenous performers, educators, and community leaders.
NAISDA's supportive environment provides graduates with the skills, connections, and confidence needed to succeed in the competitive performing arts industry.
NAISDA graduate and Russell Page Graduate Program youth trainee at Bangarra Dance Theatre, Holly Faulds, shared how her time at NAISDA prepared her for a career in the performing arts.
"My time at NAISDA offered me experiences and opportunities I had never thought about," Ms Faulds said.
"I love being creative and I have skills in particular areas, but being able to combine everything and direct it towards a career path is not always easy.
"NAISDA not only continued my strengths, but expanded my skill set and opened doors for me in the arts industry that have paved the way for me to be successful."
NAISDA boasts a student completion rate of 76 per cent, double the national average for accredited Vocational and Educational Training in Australia, and stands as the only Indigenous organisation within the Federal Government's ARTS8 collective of leading performing arts training institutions.
At NAISDA, students hone their artistic and creative skills in a professional performance environment, with two major performance seasons each year.
Graduates are well-equipped for careers in the performing arts and beyond, thanks to strong industry partnerships that provide essential professional development opportunities.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals aged 16 to 26 with a passion for dance are encouraged to apply online before Monday, 2 September.
