AFL journeyman Quinton Narkle has received another lifeline after being signed by Fremantle on the opening day of the pre-season supplemental selection period.
The ex-Geelong and Port Adelaide midfielder-forward is set to add depth and experience to the Dockers' line up after having already played 57 games at the elite level.
The Whadjuk Noongar man was spotted at the Fremantle's return to pre-season training this morning, but did not participate in any of the activities.
Narkle has spent the past two years at the Power, where he has played 16 AFL games, including three finals matches in 2024 and was often used as the club's medical substitute.
When not selected in the senior team this year, Narkle played five games in the SANFL and averaged 20 disposals per game, including a 32-disposal two-goal performance against Central District in Round 19
The 26-year-old also spent six years on Geelong's list after originally being selected with pick 60 in the 2016 AFL National Draft.
After 41 games for the Cats, he was delisted at the end of the 2022 season and would go on to join Essendon's VFL program before being offered another AFL opportunity with Port Adelaide.

Fremantle list boss David Walls told The West Australian that Narkle's versatility was a major attraction.
"His flexibility, that's one thing we're looking at, guys who can play multiple roles," Walls said.
"Not just play inside or midfield, but be able to come in have an impact and add a different dimension but then go to a wing and then go to high forward.
"I think that's why he was the sub for Port Adelaide so many times this year – he played well in finals so we love that but it's just his versatility that he gives."
Narkle did not nominate for any of this year's drafts, which allowed Fremantle to sign him during the supplemental selection period.
He was keen on a return to his home state and by not nominating, it took away the risk of another club jumping in to draft him.
Narkle is a close friend of Dockers' star new recruit Shai Bolton and is also married to the former Richmond player's cousin.
Fremantle have now filled all available list spots for the 2025 season.
