The NRL has issued Josh Addo-Carr with a breach notice in relation to his positive roadside drug tests earlier this month, as the Bulldogs winger's footy future remains unclear.
Addo-Carr has defended his innocence, despite secondary testing returning positive for cocaine, amid the ongoing saga dating back two weeks.
The 29-year-old fronted to NRL's integrity unit last week.
He also ruled himself out of the Bulldogs' first final, which was lost to Melbourne, shortly after news of the alleged conduct first broke.
According to reports, the NRL is expected to offer the NSW and Kangaroos representative a four-game ban and $15,000 fine.
Speculation around his future at the Dogs, or possibility of finding a new home for 2025 - including rumours of rival club interest, continues.
On Tuesday, following the NRL's issue of a breach notice, Canterbury, via a statement, said they would not make comment "until all processes have been completed".
The league allege Addo-Carr engaged in illegal conduct bringing the game into disrepute.
"Addo-Carr was issued with a Penalty Notice by NSW Police earlier this month for the offence of 'Presence of prescribed illicit drug in person's oral fluid, blood or urine' while driving a motor vehicle," the NRL said in a statement.
"The Breach Notice alleges that Addo-Carr has engaged in conduct which is against the law and has brought the game and his Club into disrepute."
Addo-Carr has five days to respond to the league.
More to come.
