Kunja cricketer Mikayla Hinkley has played her part in a monster partnership while re-writing the history books in Boorloo/Perth at the weekend.
Hinkley, alongside Scorchers and WA teammate Maddy Darke, walked out at the top of the order for Subiaco-Floreat Cricket Club before putting on an unbeaten 484-run stand in WA Premier Cricket on Sunday.
Sent in to bat after losing the toss against Perth Cricket Club, Hinkley smashed 243* from 157 balls in the partnership, a performance perch squarely among the highest-ever across the history of women's cricket.
According to Wisden, Hinkley and Darke's unbeaten combination is the second largest partnership ever recorded in a competitive women's fixture, and just fifth to reach 400 runs.
552 struck by Shikari Ranahansi and Kaushani Nuthyangana in a 2022 Sri Lankan U19s game is the sole recorded stand to outdo the pair's partnership.
Hinkley and Darke now hold the best unbeaten contribution made in Australia, topping a 479 hit in a Victorian Pennant Grade game in the summer of 1974-75, and a more recent Tasmanian-made partnership of 400 in 2018-19, according to Wisden.
Hinkley smashed 34 boundaries on her way to her mammoth individual total, including 10 sixes, reaching triple figures within 60 balls faced.
The West Australian reported on Monday Hinkley's score is the second-highest by any player in the state throughout the 2025/26 season.
Hinkley, who struggled to embed herself in the Scorchers' line up over the recent Women's Big Bash League (WBBL) season, currently sits 11th on the Women's National Cricket League (WNCL) batting leaderboard with 301 runs for WA this summer.
Darke, who hit 30 boundaries of her own on the way to 209*, is eighth in the WNCL batting standings.

Chasing 485 for the win, Perth managed 176 all out in 42.1 overs.
Hinkley added to her day taking a wicket in the second innings, finishing with figures of 1/28 (5).
The two sides had gone into the contest in the top two spots on the Female A Grade One Day ladder with five wins, with Subiaco-Floreat holding a game in hand.
Hinkley's side sit on top of the overall ladder after going undefeated so far in both 50-over and T20 matches this summer.
Last summer, Hinkley led WA to a historic National Indigenous Cricket Championships women's title, hitting 71 runs in the state's 72 run victory over Queensland in the final at Mackay's Great Barrier Reef Arena.
It was WA's first women's title at the annual championships.
