Two Indigenous owned organisations, Clothing The Gaps and Little Rocket, are collaborating on a community activation to support the upcoming Voice to Parliament Referendum.

Both organisations, based in Brunswick, Victoria, are known for their artistic contributions.

On Friday a new mural will be created on Clothing The Gaps' Sydney Road shopfront, known for its 'Free the Flag' mural.

The event will transform Warr Park, located behind Clothing The Gaps, into a community meeting point from 12-2 pm, where attendees will have the opportunity to contribute to the artwork.

Clothing The Gaps, an Aboriginal social enterprise use their profits to promote unity through fashion and causes.

Their Co-Founder, Laura Thompson, a proud Gunditjmara woman, recently addressed a crowd of over 60,000 at the Narrm (Melbourne) Yes rally, stressing the importance of the referendum as a step forward for the mob, calling for solidarity from allies.

"This referendum is a step forward in this country, providing First Nations Mob with the respect and

recognition we deserve," said Ms Thompson.

"More than ever, we need our allies to stand in solidarity with us - every conversation counts."

John Burgess, a Gurindji man and CEO of Little Rocket, shared Ms Thompson's sentiment.

"The Referendum presents an exciting opportunity to celebrate over 65,000 years of First Nations culture, and involve our Mob in conversations that concern us," he said.

"We hope this will create a more collaborative and safer cultural landscape for all Australians."
