Jay Forrester has been appointed the Bourke Aboriginal Corporation Health Service's new Chief Executive Officer.
The Wiradjuri man brings experience across rural, remote and urban regions, having worked in clinical services, program development and executive management.
His career has consistently focused on strengthening workforce capability, improving the delivery of health programs and building partnerships that promote culturally safe and community-led outcomes.
Prior to his new role, Mr Forrester was Deputy CEO at Bourke Aboriginal Corporation Health Service (BACHS).
In that position he oversaw major improvements in service delivery, introduced stronger staff support and encouraged collaboration between programs to provide more integrated care.
Mr Forrester said he was proud to take on the responsibility and looked forward to building on the organisation's record.
"I am honoured to lead BACHS," he said.
"Our goal is simple. Deliver accessible, culturally safe care and support better health for our people.
"I look forward to working with staff, partners and community to build on what BACHS has achieved."

Mr Forrester's leadership is described as being guided by integrity, strategy and a clear vision for community health.
Ngemba man and BACHS board chair James Moore said Mr Forrester's knowledge and commitment would help guide the organisation into its next phase.
"Jay brings steady leadership and a clear path for the work ahead," Mr Moore said.
"He knows our community, knows our services and will guide the organisation through its next chapter."
Under his leadership, BACHS will continue to offer primary healthcare, mental health support, chronic disease management and health promotion programs.
The service also intends to place further emphasis on strengthening community partnerships, improving patient experiences and supporting a positive workplace culture that values both staff and clients.
