Queensland's major Invasion Day and Survival Day events on January 26 will again centre on truth-telling, mourning and the ongoing survival of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
For many Indigenous people, 26 January marks the start of invasion and dispossession rather than a national celebration.
Across the state, organisers describe the day as a time to gather, remember, march and stand in solidarity, with events ranging from ceremonies and rallies to community-led marches.
