Crows forward Shane McAdam requires surgery to fix a depressed cheekbone suffered against Sydney on Saturday night.
The clash, which erupted after a goal umpire error - as confirmed by the AFL on Sunday, cost Adelaide a come-from-behind win, was McAdam's 50th career game.
McAdam was laid out early in the fourth quarter, resulting in a two-week ban for Swan Tom McCartin.
Tom McCartin has been handed a two-match suspension for this bump on Shane McAdam.

He collected 12 disposals, made seven tackles and kicked a goal in the match.
The 11.8 (74) - 10.13 (73) loss put a line through Adelaide's season with a week left in the home-and-away stage, and later did the same for McAdam - the club confirmed on Monday.
The 28-year-old has been ruled out of the Crows' last fixture against West Coast, and does not qualify to feature in finals for his club's second-placed SANFL outfit.
"Shane has been in great form since coming back into the team in Round 18 but unfortunately he will be unavailable for this weekend's game against West Coast and he has not qualified for SANFL finals," Adelaide high performance manager Darren Burgess said.
Burgess said the injury is unlikely to curb McAdam's preseason preparations for 2024.
The Swans meanwhile have flagged they will contest McCartin's charge.
The 23-year old was handed a two week sanction after the match review officer deemed the hit carless, high impact and high contact.
McAdam himself was rubbed out after a high bump on a Giants opposition player in round one.
He's averaged almost two goals a game across seven starts in 2023.
