The Western Bulldogs have confirmed Jamarra Ugle-Hagan has been granted "flexible training arrangements as he deals with personal issues," following raised concerns around the forward's preparations ahead of the 2025 AFL season.

It comes after reports of the 22-year-olds recent absences from preseason training.

The Bulldogs released a statement on Tuesday afternoon, saying Ugle-Hagan has continued to train both at and away from the club.

"The Western Bulldogs can confirm that forward Jamarra Ugle-Hagan is currently undertaking flexible training arrangements as he deals with personal issues," the club wrote.

Ugle-Hagan spent a period away from the Kennel early in the 2024 season for personal reasons, before returning to produce a career-best season.

"With the endorsement of the football program, Jamarra has alternated his training between Mission Whitten Oval and away from the Club," the Bulldogs statement read.

"The Club continues to provide its full support to Jamarra and remains in constant contact with him, his family and his management."

The Bulldogs requested privacy for Ugle-Hagan while prioritising his health and wellbeing.
