NSW Police are seeking public assistance to locate an Indigenous boy missing from the Tamworth area.

Maxwell Hill, 13, was last seen at West Tamworth on Thursday 15 August.

Officers attached to Oxley Police District were notified on Thursday 18 August 2026 and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Maxwell is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, approximately 120cm tall, and of a slim build.

Both family and police hold concerns for Maxwell's welfare due to his age.
