Liandra Swim hit the runway on the final day of Afterpay Australian Fashion Week, opening the Next Gen show.

The swimwear brand was founded by Liandra Gaykamangu, a Yolngu woman from East Arnhem Land.

Gaykamangu was previously in the Indigenous Fashion Projects runway last year and has since moved up to the Next Gen runway.

Her designs have evolved from just swimwear to also include resort wear. Compared to her previous collection, Gaykamangu was inspired by a brighter more vivid colour palette.

Models walked the runway in her designs alongside woven accessories such as necklaces and bags.
