The Indigenous Fashion Projects Runway show has left the audience mesmerised with the beautiful display of clothing from Indigenous designers.
IFP was the most anticipated show for AAFW and had a full house of onlookers ready to see a variety of clothing.
Prominent Indigenous model Samantha Harris opened the show for the night, dressed in Lazy Girl Lingerie founded by Waanyi woman Cassandra Pons.



The energy was high and the audience were upbeat, cheering on the models.
After the Welcome to Country the room filled with applause and cheers at the words of 'Always was and Always will be'.
Gali Swim was up next and they hit the runway with force. The swimwear brand was founded by David Leslie, a proud Kamilaroi man.



Taking over the runway was the quirky brand Gammin Theard founded by Tahnee Edwards, a Yorta Yorta and Taungurung women.



Some of the guests for IFP consist of AFL legend Adam Goodes, Former Channel 10 and NITV journalist Narelda Jacobs, and Voice advocate Teela Reid, as well as actor Miranda tapsell and writer Nakkiah Lui.
Diving into the crowd next was Nat Dann sustainable and ethical women's swimwear Ihraa Swim who debuted a new collection with shades of blue.



Joseph & James followed suit and the menswear brand founded by proud Gooreng Gooreng and South Sea Islander woman Juanita Page brought elevated streetwear to the scene.
Joseph & James and Gali Swim were also the first menswear collections to be part of the IFP runway.



Kamara swim made a slap on stage, the brand was founded by The Gugu Badhun and Kutjala descendant designers Sisters, Kirsty and Naomi as a collection for their label Kamara Australia.



Lastly Miimi and Jiinda graced the runway the label was created by mother-daughter duo Lauren Jarrett and Melissa Greenwood. Ms Jarett also made an appearance on the runway, making the crowd go wild at her sight.



As the show was coming to an end Jess Mauboy made a surprise appearance to sing alongside Melanie Mununggurr.

With that the IFP 2023 officially came to a close.
