Gold Coast Suns coach Damien Harwick has admitted Jamarra Ugle-Hagan and teammate Mac Andrew's use of an accessible bathroom is "disrespectful" and "innappropriate" but not a larger issue.

Footage of the pair leaving the facilities together while at the State of Origin decider in Brisbane emerged online earlier this week.

Ugle-Hagan and Andrew denied any misconduct, with the club adding "there is no indication of any wrongdoing by either player" in a statement on Tuesday — something Hardwick stuck by speaking to media on Friday.

Contacted by News Corp, Ugle-Hagan said he and Andrew had used the bathroom due to lengthy queues at others.

"We understand it's not a good look, and we ask the players what their response was and we work through that. And we believe what they said," Hardwick said.

"It's not a great look using the disabled toilet. We spoke about that. It's disrespectful to the accessible people that need it. So we work through that and we move on."

While reiterating their actions were inappropriate, the Suns coach also brushed off the idea it's a more serious matter.

"The fact of the matter is, these two men walked into a disabled toilet. That's inappropriate," Harwick said, later adding, "It's not an incident. Two guys walked into a disabled toilet. It's inappropriate."

Ugle-Hagan didn't feature in the Suns' VFL match against Tasmania last weekend due to a calf concern which has also ruled him out for this weekend, Hardwick explained, while Andrew played in the senior side's loss to the Crows and will face the Bulldogs on Sunday afternoon.

Hardwick also addressed his "overly emotional" comments post a 79-point loss to the Crows, where he said his side's season was effectively over following a seventh-straight defeat.

"I apologised to the players because we've still got hope and belief that if we play our best footy we're capable of beating most sides in the competition," he said.

"We spoke about that as a playing group, I apologised to them and we move forward pretty quickly."
