GWS will appeal a three-match ban for rough conduct handed to Indigenous forward Toby Bedford for a heavy tackle which left Richmond's Tim Taranto dazed on Sunday afternoon.
Early in the final quarter of the Giants' win at the MCG, Taranto was immediately wrapped up from behind and driven to the ground by Bedford on taking possession from a ball up.
The Tiger made head-to-ground contact with momentum from behind and his arms pinned in the tackle, which ended his afternoon on entering concussion protocols.

In Monday's MRO results, the incident was graded careless conduct, high tackle and severe impact - resulting in a three-week ban for Bedford.
Brisbane's Charlie Cameron and Gold Coast's Malcolm Rosas were handed three and one game sanctions respectively for their own incidents on Sunday.
Bedford's tackle did not result in a free kick being paid, with the Giants appearing to check in on Taranto's wellbeing after the umpire blew for another ball-up.
On Monday evening the Giants confirmed they would seek to appeal the handown at the tribunal.
The seventh-placed GSW host Gold Coast, who trail them by just one win in 11th spot, at ENGIE Stadium in round 19.
