Scott Boland has added another chapter in his cult Test cricket career as Australia dismissed the West Indies for just 27 to claim a 3-nil series win in Jamaica on Tuesday morning.

The Gulidjan seamer bowled himself into history as the first Australian man since Peter Siddle in 2010, and tenth overall, to produce a Test hat-trick as the hosts fell apart against the pink ball.

Boland ended the match with 6-36, with just two runs conceded for his three wickets in another devastating individual second innings display.

Seven West Indies batters returned to the pavilion without contributing a score, the most in a single innings in Test history.

Mitchell Starc heroics co-headlined the final innings of the Frank Worrell Trophy.

Playing in his 100th international red-ball fixture, Starc claimed four wickets before leaking a run in a horror afternoon for the Windies.

The veteran ended with career-best figures of 6-9.

Australia had earlier left the West Indies with an achievable task following their own batting woes on the Sabrina Park pitch.

Entering stumps on day two at 6/99, the tourists were all out for 121 the following day - bolstered by Cameron Green's 42, with a Shamar Joseph 5-fa restricting the hosts' required total to 204.

Windies opener John Campbell was gone first ball facing Starc, before his side fell to three down without score, and later 6/11 after Josh Hazlewood chipped in with his sole wicket before Boland cleaned up the lower order.

Starc's rapid 5-fa from fifteen balls was the fastest in Test history.

Boland collected his first wicket after squaring up Justin Greaves, who edged to Beau Webster at second slip.

He then removed Joseph coming around the wicket, wrapping his front pad and overturning the on-field not out decision with a ball which would have gone on to hit the top of middle stump.

With his next, Boland nipped one back into Jomel Warrican's off stump to complete his latest piece of history in the Test arena.

"I was a bit nervous bowling that last one," he joked post match, via Fox Sports.

"It's an amazing feeling.

"I was just trying to concentrate on putting balls in good areas."

Starc and Australian captain Pat Cummins were more glowing in their reviews of the seamer.

Boland's addition was the first time Australia had taken a four-pronged pace attack into a match in more than a decade.

It was also the perennial 12th man's first Test pairing with the 'big three' of Cummins, Hazlewood and Starc.

His performance on Tuesday morning (Australian time) recaptured the scenes of his 6/7 debut spell on his home MCG deck during the 2021/22 Ashes.

It's not the first time Boland, with the pink ball, has claimed three wickets in short succession to leave a Windies order reeling.

In the second innings of the Adelaide day-night Test 18 months prior, Boland took 3-0 in his first over.

"Today was three classic Scotty Boland wickets, all right at the stumps, or not far away," Cummins said post-match.

"Really happy for him, he's spent a lot of time running drinks in the past year or two when the other three guys are fit, but we know he's quality when he does come in."

The home side's total of 27 is the second-lowest in Test history.

An Australian last produced a Test hat-trick in the 2010/11 Ashes when fellow fan favourite Peter Siddle produced an iconic episode on his birthday in Brisbane.

Boland's Test career has grown to 62 wickets at a remarkable average of 16.53 from 14 matches.

The Caribbean tour continues into white-ball fixtures later this month.

Australia's next Test is the opener of a home Ashes Series in Perth, starting November 21.
