Zoe Hobbs is keeping the athletics world on their toes as she continues to decimate her competition this season.
Only last week, the Ngāruahine Māori sprinter broke her own New Zealand record by running an 11:07s (+1.8) in the preliminaries at the 2023 Jennian Homes New Zealand Track & Field Championships.
Incredibly, in the finals she clocked an illegal 10:89s thanks to a heavy tailwind of plus 3.4m/s, which was sadly ruled out.
On Sunday Zoe took matters into her own hands at the Chemist Warehouse Sydney Track Classic by yet again destroying her previous record by running an Australian all-comers best time of 10:97s (+.05), making Zoe the fastest woman ever on Oceania soil and shaving a tenth of a second off her previous record.

"I saw the time and I'm like, 'oh my God, I don't want to get too excited' just in case it wasn't legal, but in any conditions I'll be stoked with a sub-11," Hobbs said.
"I'm still trying to wrap my head around how its happened because I've just come back from injury."
18 year-old Queenslander, Torrie Lewis who placed second with an 11:23, finished just 0.03 seconds outside the national under-20 record set at altitude by the legendary Raelene Boyle at the 1968 Mexico Olympics.
Hobbs will now move on to her next assignment in home city of Auckland at the Sir Graeme Douglas International presented by Harcourts Cooper & Co on Thursday March, 16.
