Calvin Klein Australia has collaborated with First Nations artist Jake Simon as part of their 2023 Pride celebrations.

The Worimi Biripi artist Jake Simon created artwork reflecting on his community and himself for the one-of-a-kind capsule collection.

Simon's designs can be seen on t-shirts, shorts, hats and tote bags.

He said every pattern on his artwork has a specific meaning to him and his community.

"The motif of joining circles represents community, while arrow shapes are both journey and warrior," he said.

"Being a proud gay man, the colours and meaning behind the palette really resonates with me.

"The shapes and the meaning behind this speak volumes representing the minorities within the community, who are strong and resilient, and showing that love wins."

As part of Pride 2023, Calvin Klein will donate 30 cents to BlaQ Aboriginal Corporation for each Pride garment sold.

It was a collaboration a year in the making for Simon and Calvin Klein, as the artist reflected on Instagram.

"Such a proud moment working with Calvin Klein for over a year now to get to this point," Simon wrote.

"It's been an amazing journey together and here we are."

He also collaborated with Indigenous-owned swimwear brand Gali Swimwear for their Pride collection, adding a bright rainbow pattern to Gali's signature briefs.

The Calvin Klein Pride campaign also featured First Nations LGBTQ+ model Nathan McGuire alongside Troye Sivan and Manahou Mackay.
