New details have emerged regarding an alleged incident involving West Coast player Isiah Winder following the AFL's Indigenous and Multicultural Players Summit in Geelong.

On Monday the Eagles' released a short statement stating Victoria Police were investigating the matter.

"The West Coast Eagles have been made aware of an incident in Geelong after the AFL/AFLPA Indigenous and Multicultural Players Summit on the weekend involving player Isiah Winder," the statement said.

"The AFL have been informed of the alleged incident and as this matter is currently under investigation by Victoria Police we are unable to make any further comment.

"The Club will fully cooperate with Victoria Police and provide support to Isiah through the investigation."

Later on Monday further information emerged alleging Winder was involved in a "physical altercation at a party", according to Seven News Perth.

It comes just days after West Coast re-selected Winder in the AFL's Rookie Draft after delisting him at the end of the 2022 season.

The 20-year-old has reportedly been stood down from senior duties but is available to train with their WAFL side and continue to access club facilities.

Winder has played seven games over two seasons with the Eagles, including six in 2022, since being recruited from Peel Thunder with pick 57 in the 2020 Rookie Draft.
