Western Australian Homicide Squad detectives are continuing to seek public assistance as they investigate the deaths of two people after events in a home in Spencer Park, Albany, on Sunday, 8 February.
About 3.10pm, emergency services were called to a residence on Burville Street in relation to an unresponsive woman.
A 69-year-old woman was located deceased inside the residence. National Indigenous Times understands the woman was Aboriginal.
A 50-year-old man, who WA Police believe was known to the woman, was located inside the residence with life-threatening injuries. He was conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital but has since died.
Detective Senior Sergeant Stephen Cleal of the Homicide Squad said the case was "an unimaginable loss for the victims' loved ones".
"Our detectives are determined to uncover every fact and hold whoever is responsible to account. Someone in the community knows something, and we are asking them to come forward," he said on Friday.
"Any piece of information, big or small - no matter how insignificant you think it is - could lead us to the answers the victims' family deserves."
Inquiries remain ongoing into the circumstances surrounding the pair's death; however, WA Police said they "wish to reassure the community, there is currently no information to suggest there is an ongoing risk to the community".
As inquiries continue, investigators urge anyone with any information or footage in relation to this incident to contact Crime Stoppers online via www.crimestopperswa.com.au or by calling 1800 333 000.
