WA Police investigate death of woman in Albany

WA Police are investigating the death of a woman in Albany.

National Indigenous Times understands the woman, aged 69, was Indigenous.

Homicide Squad detectives are investigating her death which occurred on Sunday, February 8.

WA Police said that at about 3.10pm on that date, emergency services were called to an address in Spencer Park in relation to an unresponsive woman. She was found deceased inside the residence.

A 50-year-old man, who police believe is known to the woman, was found inside the same residence with injuries. He was conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital and is currently receiving treatment for life‐threatening injuries.

Inquiries remain ongoing into the circumstances surrounding the woman's death and the injuries the man sustained, and no charges had been pressed at the time of publication.
