Seven time ARIA nominated artist and Gamilaraay woman Thelma Plum has joined the Clothing the Gaps and HoMie teams in a Melbourne Fashion Week collaboration event that brought fans to a sold-out event at Collingwood Yards on Saturday.
Kicking off the festival in style, Clothing the Gaps x HoMie Tee Party showcased their new range of tees, Together On Purpose, with designs literally cut up and sewn together from both labels.
This long-awaited collaboration has been in the making for some time for the two Victorian certified social enterprises, as both work to bring people together and spark conversations through catchy slogans and play on words printed on their well-known apparel.

Fans walked into the yards and lined up to be first to own the new collaboration tees before enjoying the evening with food, drink and a dynamic line up of performers and entertainers.
Supporting acts Issac Peurile, Tinika, Setwun, Pet$, DJ PGZ and Brothers In Arms set a tone of celebration leading to the anticipated arrival of Thelma Plum.
Crowds surrounded the stage and sung along with the artist in the intimate event, helping Plum feel the love.
"Tonight was insane. It feels very special being with so much mob," Plum said after her set.
"I still have a lot of adrenaline and I play shows all the time but there was something very special about today.
"HoMie and Clothing the Gaps, I just love them, I love everything they do, I feel very honoured."
Plum, known for her edgy style, wore a custom made top and skirt by Clothing the Gaps and HoMie exclusively for the event, a move that founder Laura Thompson says is something CTG hopes to continue and develop moving forward.

Melbourne Fashion Festival will run until 11 March with every major show including First Nations fashion designers and creatives throughout the week.
