Nominations for the 2025 Local Government Supplementary Elections are closing on Thursday 6 November at 12 noon and late nominations cannot be accepted.
Elections are being held to fill vacancies in the following Council wards:
- Central Desert Regional Council - Akityarre Ward (1 vacancy)
- MacDonnell Regional Council - Rodinga Ward (1 vacancy)
- Roper Gulf Regional Council - Yugul Mangi Ward (1 vacancy)
- West Arnhem Regional Council - Gunbalanya Ward (1 vacancy)
- West Arnhem Regional Council - Kakadu Ward (1 vacancy)
- Litchfield Council - North Ward (1 vacancy)
Candidate information and nomination forms are available on the NT Electoral Commission website ntec.nt.gov.au.
Candidates and members of the public are invited to attend the declaration of nominations event to be held on Friday, 7 November at 12:00 noon.
The declaration of nominations and draw to determine the candidate order on the ballot papers will proceed in alphabetical order by council. The draw will be conducted using a random number generator.
Those interested in attending can participate in person in Darwin - NTEC, Level 3, TCG Centre, 80 Mitchell Street - or via live stream online.
