Nominations for the NAIDOC Perth Awards are now open.

The Awards proudly recognise and honour Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals, organisations, and businesses "who are making a real impact"—whether through work, education, sport, culture, the arts, or community leadership.

The Awards committee is now calling for nominations from across the Perth metropolitan area.

"If you know someone who is stepping up, showing strength and vision, and contributing to the betterment of our people, we encourage you to nominate them for a 2025 NAIDOC Perth Award," NAIDOC Perth said.

The categories are: Artist of the Year; Business of the Year; Carer of the Year; Community Person of the Year; Education Achievement Award; Elder (Female) of the Year; Elder (Male) of the Year; Empowerment Award; Nursing & Midwifery Award (statewide); Outstanding Achievement Award; Program of the Year; Sportsperson of the Year; Youth of the Year; and the 2025 NAIDOC Theme Award.

This year's theme, 'The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy', "invites us to reflect on those who are not only leading today but also shaping tomorrow. Let us recognise those who are creating lasting change for our community".

The nomination form is available online, and any queries about the Awards can be directed to [email protected].

Nominations close on Sunday, June 15.

The winners will be announced at the NAIDOC Perth Awards dinner on July 12.
