This Saturday, May 6th, the popular Revealed: WA Aboriginal Art Market is being held in person for the first time since 2019, giving people the chance to purchase unique Indigenous artworks for one day only.

The Art Market will feature over 30 stalls selling original First Nations paintings, textiles, jewellery, ceramics, and carved artefacts. The Aboriginal Art Market will operate and provides an ethical, direct way to purchase art, with 100% of sales going directly back to Indigenous artists.

The Art Market will feature works by both emerging and established artists, providing visitors with a unique opportunity to purchase one-of-a-kind artworks and meet the talented artists who created them. The Fremantle Arts Centre venue will also have music, food, and artist talks to provide a rich cultural experience.

Taking place in person on the south lawn of the Fremantle Arts Centre, the event is the biggest Aboriginal art market in Western Australia and will showcase some of WA's best new, emerging, and established artists from remote and regional arts centres as well as local independent artists.

The WA Aboriginal Art Market also coincides with the launch of the Revealed Exhibition: New and Emerging WA Aboriginal Artists running from Saturday, 6 May to Sunday, 23 July, with the works of more than 100 Aboriginal artists from remote, regional and metropolitan on display.

Since its inception, Revealed has featured more than 900 WA Aboriginal artists, generating over $3.5 million in sales.

Culture and the Arts Minister David Templeman highlighted the importance of the Revealed exhibition and Art Market. "These events not only raise the profile of WA emerging artists but also share our uniquely

Western Australian stories with audiences in WA and beyond."

The Member for Fremantle Simone McGurk also expressed her excitement about the exhibition being held in her community. "I look forward to a fun-filled weekend of activity and culture. Fremantle is a creative community and it's great to see the popular exhibition and market back for the first time in four years."
