Shakara Shaw and Jarmon Carpio welcomed their baby boy, Jovahni, into the world on Christmas night at Broome Hospital.

Born at 8:41 pm, weighing 7.24 pounds, and measuring 53cm, Jovahni brought joy not only to his parents but also to the midwives.

This marked the first Christmas delivery in their tenure at Broome Hospital.

"We were meant to get induced on Christmas Eve but nothing happened," Ms Shaw said.

"So my partner and I just looked at each other in shock, knowing he would come on Christmas Day."

"It was a good experience, there was no pain with my contractions."

The new parents are thrilled to celebrate not only Christmas but also Jovahni's birthday together, cherishing this special and unique gift.

Jovahni, the latest addition to the family, is now the youngest of 26 grandchildren, according to his grandmother, Rosita Shaw.

"Shes a natural mother because shes been looking after her sisters children, too," she said.

"This year was a big Christmas, buying presents for 26 grandchildren."

Sister Shoma Shaw said they are "over the moon" to welcome Jovahni to the family.
