The First Nations Boxing Championships will be held at the Hamilton Hotel in Meanjin (Brisbane) next Saturday.
Garawa and Butchulla man with Tongan and South Sea Islander heritage, Uncle Sammy Leone, said the tournament will showcase more than 40 fights across one day.
"We've got over 41 to 43 bouts, and they're coming from international bouts," Leone said.
"So it'll be packed full of good fights there and a few exciting bouts coming up."
The main event will feature Mandandanji woman Ciara Storch, who is working towards the Commonwealth Games, in a headline bout against a New Zealand opponent.
"We've got our main event with Ciara Storch," Leone said.
"She's going to have a bout and she's a really good talent."

Athletes from across Queensland and interstate will compete throughout the day, which begins at 2pm and running until about 9.30pm.
The program will also feature music and cultural performances from songman Uncle Fred Leone, Uncle Sammy's brother.
"My brother Fred Leone, he's going to come in and do a set, do some music," Mr Leone said.
"We'll have some traditional dances and stuff, work on the country and all that kind of stuff from traditional owners."
Mr Leone said he believes his students will rise to the occasion.
"I think they should do well," he said.
"Regardless of the result they'll perform well, because they've been training hard."
For those unable to attend in person, the championships will be livestreamed via Castr.
