Voting begins in East Arnhem Regional Council's Gumurr Miwatj Ward by-election

Voting has commenced for the East Arnhem Regional Council, Gumurr Miwatj Ward by-election.

The NT Electoral Commission's mobile voting team will be visiting communities in the Gumurr Miwatj Ward starting today until Friday 6 May, including Dhalinybuy, Wandawuy, Baniyala, Gan Gan, Gurrumuru and Wallaby Beach.

Voting will also be available Wednesday 3 May and Thursday 4 May at the council offices in Gunyangara and Yirrkala.

On Wednesday morning NT Electoral Commissioner Iain Loganathan reminded electors to make sure their vote counts in the Gumurr Miwatj Ward by-election.

"The mobile voting team will be visiting Gumurr Miwatj communities to ensure all Gumurr Miwatj Ward electors have a say on who represents their ward within the East Arnhem Regional Council," he said.
