Charlie Cameron will play out his career with Brisbane after signing a three-year contract extension to remain a Lion until at least the end of 2028.
The 29-year-old said putting pen to paper was an "easy decision" and aims to "finish my career off here" with the 2023 grand finalists.
Cameron's output has been the topic of some conversation through the current year, kicking 23 goals across 15 games so far, unhelped by the Lions' slow start after a devastating four-point loss to Collingwood in last year's grand final.
The four-time club leading goalkicker and dual All-Australian (2019, 2023) has failed to eclipse fifty majors in a season just twice since arriving at the Lions from Adelaide in 2018.
Speaking on Tuesday, Cameron conceded the chat around his form was "frustrating" but affirmed a move away was never his intent.
"It's exciting times, obviously, to stay on for a couple more years. I didn't see myself leaving," he said.
"I grew up in Brisbane here, went to boarding school here…I love the footy club and have enjoyed my time here."
The fan favourite also credited the Lions fans as a "big factor in this and re-signing".
Cameron has played 144 games and kicked 296 goals in the Lions guernsey.
"We couldn't be happier to have a player of Charlie's calibre extend his career with us," Brisbane general manager of football Danny Daly said.
"It's always great when players extend their contracts, and we were thrilled to get this done with Charlie and his manager Andrew McDougall at Corporate Sports Australia.
"Charlie is an important player for us and will play a key role for the Brisbane Lions as we look for further success.
"Few players get the Gabba crowd as vocal as Charlie when Country Roads is blasting after he goals, a sound us and our fans will continue to enjoy hearing."
After a 0-3 start to 2024, the club have returned form closer to their best in recent weeks surging into the top eight after four consecutive wins - their last a nail-biting effort to hold on against Melbourne at the Gabba.
Cameron kicked two majors from his nine disposals for the match, both coming in the Lions strong first quarter prior to the Dees wrestling back control and leading for the bulk of the contest before a frantic last term saw Brisbane win by five points.
