Nyul Nyul, Jabirr Jabirr, and Bunuba and Bahamian forward Keanu Pinder will return to the Boomers as part of Australia's squad for the upcoming FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers at Perth's RAC Arena.
Basketball Australia announced the 12-man team for the upcoming fixtures on Monday, with several players carrying strong links to Western Australia, including Pinder, Ben Henshall, Elijah Pepper and Wani Swaka Lo Buluk.
Pinder's selection adds experience to the Boomers frontcourt, with the forward-centre previously playing a key role in Australia's 2022 FIBA Asia Cup gold medal campaign.
He averaged 8.6 points and 4 rebounds during that tournament, helping the Boomers claim another major regional title.
Pinder will now have the chance to represent Australia in front of a hometown crowd, with fellow West Australian Henshall also named in the squad.
Perth favourite Bryce Cotton will also feature after Basketball Australia announced the six-time NBL MVP would make his Boomers debut last month.
Swaka Lo Buluk also has strong ties to the west, having moved to Perth with his family as a child before winning two championships with the Perth Wildcats alongside Cotton between 2018 and 2021.
The Western Australian link continues with Florida Gators star Alex Condon, who is expected to make his senior Boomers debut after helping Florida win the 2025 NCAA Championship.
Head coach Adam Caporn will also return home to Perth to lead the side, with Basketball Australia saying his NBA off-season availability adds further intent to the group's preparation.
Caporn said playing in Perth would be a significant moment for the team.
"Competing as a Boomer on Australian soil is always special and there's a real excitement around this group and the opportunity to play in Perth in front of such a passionate basketball community," he said.
"As we continue building towards Qatar 2027, we've brought together a strong mix of experience, emerging talent and athletes earning their first opportunity with the Boomers, which makes this window particularly exciting.
"The FIBA qualifiers are critically important for our program and we're approaching this camp and these games with great intent. We're looking to continue developing our systems, strengthen the connections within the group and represent Australia with pride and competitiveness."
The Boomers squad includes Taran Armstrong, Josh Bannan, Bryce Cotton, Alex Condon, Mitch Creek, Angus Glover, Ben Henshall, Jack McVeigh, Elijah Pepper, Keanu Pinder, Tyrese Proctor and Wani Swaka Lo Buluk.
Caporn said each camp would help the group build toward the 2027 FIBA World Cup in Qatar.
"Every camp and game gives us an opportunity to build greater cohesion, establish habits and continue strengthening the identity we want the Boomers to represent," he said.
"We know Perth fans will bring incredible energy at RAC Arena and our group is excited for the chance to compete in front of them and represent Australia the right way."
