A man has been charged with murder with reckless indifference following the fatal shooting of a 27-year-old woman in Toowoomba on Wednesday.
At 11:35am on Saturday, a 29-year-old man was arrested in Roma, and later charged, after investigations into the woman's death, a police spokesperson said.
Kara Jade Weribone was earlier identified online as the victim of the alleged daylight shooting on Christmas Street in North Toowoomba on Wednesday.
The mother of three was taken to hospital on Wednesday afternoon, where she was declared deceased, after suffering critical injuries.
A police spokesperson said the man charged on Saturday is expected to appear in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Monday, March 3.
"Detectives continue to appeal for information and are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have dashcam or been in the vicinity of Christmas Street, West Street or Gladstone Street around the time of the incident," the police spokesperson said.
"Anyone who has any information that may be able to assist the investigation is asked to contact police."
On Thursday, authorities appealed for public assistance to identify the occupants of a 2004 white Toyota Camry, which was located on Gladstone Street in North Toowoomba shortly after the incident.
