Geelong's planned revival of axed Blue Jack Martin's playing career has been confirmed with the Cats officially picking up the 29-year-old as a delisted free agent, adding more stock to the preliminary finalists' forward line.

"He has already settled into Geelong with his young family and we look forward to welcoming him into our football program."
According to News Corp, a text from Cats captain Patrick Dangerfield, the prospect of relinking with former Suns teammate Jack Bowes and lining up alongside All Australian forward Tyson Stengle up front weighed as persuading factors.
It was also a lifestyle change he welcomed.
"There is no big skyscrapers or trams so that's a win, but just feels like a good community, feels like you're in the country and everything is about 10 minutes away. A lot more convenient," the country Western Australia product told News Corp.
"Family have moved down to Geelong, it's a great football club, seems like a great community."
Martin arrived at the Gold Coast with the no.1 pick of the 2012 AFL expansion-period 'mini draft', debuting in round of 2014 season.
