Maroons duo Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow and Reuben Cotter, and competition star centres Jesse Ramien and Kotoni Staggs have been named in the 35-man list of nominees for the NRL's Dally M Team of the Year.

Staggs returns to the shortlist after missing out in 2023 behind selections Stephen Crichton and Herbie Farnsworth, with all four players vying for a spot in the lineup to be announced at Wednesday's awards night.

After building together another strong season in addition to recent years elevating into the competition's elite, Dolphins fullback Tabuai-Fidow will compete with Dylan Edwards and reigning Dally M medallist Kalyn Ponga for no.1 in the team.

The 'Hammer' equalled his career-best tally of 15 tries from four fewer games in 2024 with 165 average running metres for the NRL's newest franchise this year.

Despite the Broncos' disappointing slide on the ladder after grand final heartbreak last year, Staggs returns as a nomination, alongside Ramien - who missed his Sharks' preliminary final loss to Melbourne on Saturday with injury, Crighton, Farnsworth and Valentine Holmes.

After 23 matches, Reuban Cotter has earned nomination for the lock spot alongside Penrith skipper Isaiah Yeo and 2023 selection and Queensland teammate Patrick Carrigan.

In reward for a breakout season last year, Ezra Mam was last year's five-eighth.

Titans big man David Fifita also slotted into the second row for Dally M honours.

For the competition's top gong, Māori All Star Jerome Hughes has bee widely tipped to take the honour for the season's best performer.

When voting went behind closed doors following round 12, Nicho Hynes sat second on 30 points - one point behind Dylan Edwards, before a later season drop off.

Selwyn Cobbo, Reece Walsh, Dane Gagai, Scott Drinkwater and Tabuai-Fidow had all registered above 10 votes to that point, while further down the table.
