NAIDOC Week 2026 is rearing to impress with a wide range of events celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, identity and community across the wide Magandjin (Brisbane) area.

This year's theme, "50 Years of Deadly", marks five decades of NAIDOC Week and recognises the Elders, organisers, artists and communities who have helped build the movement.

South Brisbane - Musgrave Park Family Fun Day

Musgrave Park Family Fun Day will return to South Brisbane on Friday, 10 July from 9am to 5pm.

The free event is billed as Australia's largest NAIDOC cultural celebration and will feature live entertainment, exhibitions and activities showcasing First Nations culture and heritage.

The program includes a Community Elders Lunch, Community Corroboree, First Nations food stalls, arts and crafts stalls by First Nations artists, cultural education, information stalls and free amusement rides.

Gympie - NAIDOC Flag Raising and Celebration

Gympie's NAIDOC Flag Raising ceremony will be held at Nelson Reserve on Monday, 6 July from 10am.

Celebrations will follow, hosted by the Gympie Murri Networking Group.

The event will include First Nations music and dance, cultural art, workshops, family activities and games for children.

Cleveland - Redlands Coast NAIDOC Cultural Celebration

Raby Bay Harbour Park will host the Redlands Coast NAIDOC Cultural Celebration on Sunday, 5 July from 9am to 2pm.

The free event will launch NAIDOC Week celebrations in Redlands Coast.

Activities include stage entertainment by First Nations artists, a smoking ceremony, cultural demonstrations, information and market stalls, weaving workshops, children's activities and giveaways.

Caloundra - Sunshine Coast NAIDOC Family Funday

Sunshine Coast NAIDOC Family Funday will be held at Kings Beach in Caloundra on Sunday, 5 July from 10am to 4pm.

The free family-friendly event will bring together community, culture, performances and market stalls.

Organisers have described the event as drug and alcohol free, with all welcome to attend by the beach.

Toowoomba - Carbal NAIDOC Community Day

Carbal Medical Services will host its NAIDOC Community Day at Queen's Park in Toowoomba on Sunday, 5 July from 10am to 2pm.

The free event will include a Carbal staff versus community touch football game, food and business stalls, merchandise, raffles, giveaways, games and activities.

The event is open to families, friends and community members.

Logan - Logan NAIDOC Family Fun Day

Logan NAIDOC Family Fun Day will be held at Kingston Butter Factory Precinct on Tuesday, 7 July from 8.30am to 2.30pm.

The free community event will celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture.

Activities include free food, entertainment, local Indigenous stallholders, cultural demonstrations, weaving workshops, language workshops and a damper making competition.

Ipswich - NAIDOC Family and Cultural Celebration

Tulmur Place in the Nicholas Street Precinct will host the Ipswich NAIDOC Family and Cultural Celebration on Tuesday, 7 July from 10am to 2pm.

The free event will include cultural activities, performances and an Elders area.

Community members are welcome to attend.

Inala - NAIDOC Family Fun Day

Inala NAIDOC Family Fun Day will be held at West Inala Football Club on Wednesday, 8 July from 10am to 2pm.

The free event will celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories and traditions.

The program includes a Welcome to Country, smoking ceremony, local dance groups, children's rides and activities, face painting, workshops, local entertainment and a guest speaker.

Gold Coast - NAIDOC Community Day

The Gold Coast Sports Precinct at Carrara will host NAIDOC Community Day on Wednesday, 8 July from 10am to 2pm.

The free event will include cultural performances, live music, interactive workshops, activities and market stalls.

A free Kinetic bus shuttle will run from Nerang Station every 30 minutes.

Brisbane City - Yaggara Kakka Brisbane NAIDOC 2026

Yaggara Kakka Brisbane NAIDOC 2026 will be held at City Botanic Gardens on Sunday, 5 July from 10am to 5pm.

The free event is suitable for all ages and will bring community together in the heart of Brisbane.
