Prominent Noongar man and former WAFL player Stephen Michael is encouraging mob to check their voting eligibility ahead of the up coming federal election.
This year's Sir Doug Nicholls Round honouree, Michael is widely considered one of the greatest ever players from Western Australia and arguably the greatest in the history of the South Fremantle Football Club.
Ahead of the upcoming federal election, which is set to be held on or before 17 May, Michael is encouraging all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to confirm their voting enrolment.

An individuals enrolment status can be quickly and easily checked via the Australian Electoral Commission website.
Born in Wagin, Michael grew up in the southern Wheatbelt town of Kojonup before making his way to the South Fremantle Football Club where he became a club legend, playing 243 games and kicking 231 goals.
He has since gone on to found the Stephen Michel Foundation, an organisation committed to supporting young people to reach their full potential.
